Mr. Pachkowski was one of the founding directors of and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Total Energy Services Inc., having served as a director since 1996. Mr. Pachkowski is a Principal of Trident Capital Partners LP, a management and investment limited partnership and was formerly a partner with Peat Marwick Thorne (now KPMG LLP). Mr. Pachkowski received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1977 and has been a Chartered Accountant since 1979, a Chartered Business Valuator since 1989 and received his ICD.D designation in 2012.
Mr. Halyk is the founder of and the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Total Energy Services Inc. having served as a director since 1996. He has been Chief Executive Officer since May 2002 and President since June 2007. Since December 1997, Mr. Halyk has been a Principal of Trident Capital Partners LP; a private limited partnership that makes investments primarily in the energy, energy services and real estate industries. Prior to starting Trident Capital, Mr. Halyk was a corporate securities lawyer with Bennett Jones LLP in Calgary. Mr. Halyk received his Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Major) and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Saskatchewan.
Most recently, Mr. Melchin served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1997 to 2008. For seven years, he served as a Minister of the Crown, including Minister of Revenue from 2001 to 2004 and Minister of Energy from 2004 to 2006. Mr. Melchin left elected office in March of 2008 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Enmax Corporation, a municipally owned utility, and on the Board of Directors of Total Energy Services Inc. and Baytex Energy Corp. Mr. Melchin received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1980 and his FCA designation in 2004. Mr. Melchin also received his Institute of Corporate Directors designation in 2007.
Mr. Whitmarsh has over 20 years of energy industry experience. Most recently, from 2008 to 2017, Mr. Whitmarsh served as the Chief Executive Officer of Trinidad Drilling Ltd. Prior to that, starting in 2000, Mr Whitmarsh held various positions with Trinidad Drilling Ltd. including President, General Manager and Field Supervisor. Mr. Whitmarsh holds his Institute of Corporate Directors designation.
Prior to his retirement in 2016, Mr. Smith was a Senior Audit Partner with KPMG. He currently is a director of Razor Energy Corp. and a member of that company’s Audit Committee, Governance and Reserve Committees and the Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Smith graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec in 1977 with a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours in Accountancy with Distinction and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1979. Mr. Smith received his Institute of Corporate Directors designation in 2014.
Mr. Chow was one of the founders of Savanna Energy Services Corp., most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Savanna Energy Services Corp. from 2003 until 2015. Prior to that, Mr. Chow held various executive roles including Vice President, Corporate Development and Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with Plains Energy Services Corp. and President of Entest Corp as well as various public and private directorships including Interra Energy Services Ltd., Profound Energy Inc., Find Energy Ltd., Plains Energy Services Corp. and others. Mr. Chow holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering with Distinction degree, both from the University of Alberta. Mr. Chow also received his Institute of Corporate Directors designation in 2010.
Mr. Draudson has more than 20 years of business and public company experience in the energy industry and was a founding member of Savanna Energy Services Corp., most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from 2009 until 2015 and Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from 2001 until 2009. Prior to that Mr. Draudson served as the Vice President, Finance of Savanna Energy Services Corp. and Chief Financial Officer of Plains Energy Services Ltd. and worked for several years in public practice for a large public accounting firm. Mr. Draudson received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Accountant.
Mr. Brooks has over four decades of experience in the oilfield services, energy, and investment industries, including extensive international expertise. His various roles have included Energy Securities Analyst, Manager of an oilfield services company, and Management Consultant to various energy companies. Mr. Brooks is currently an adviser to Parks Paton Hoepfl & Brown, a boutique oilfield service investment banking firm based in Texas, and is a member of the Board of Directors for several oilfield service companies including Trican Well Service Ltd., and Pason Systems Inc.
