Savanna’s US operations are expanding based on a mandate of acquisition and organic growth, and now include field offices in Odessa, TX; Weatherford, TX; Haughton, LA; Dickinson, ND; and Waynesburg, PA. Savanna USA operates a fleet of 27 drilling and 11 well servicing rigs. Operations are spread between the Permian Basin (15 drilling rigs), South Texas (1 drilling rig), Ark-La-Tex (2 drilling rigs), Bakken Shale (1 drilling rig and 9 well service rigs), and the Marcellus Shale (5 drilling rigs) where two new high-spec tele-doubles (Rigs 654 and 655) were recently delivered at the end of Q3 2011. The addition of three TDS-3000 rigs to Permian in early 2012 and the addition of service rigs to the Bakken operations is being evaluated. The future of Savanna’s US operations is bright. Our customer base has expanded dramatically and longer and longer term contracts are being brought to bear. As the price of oil continues to dominate, the positioning of the US operations is ideal. A strong presence in the liquids rich Permian Basin has helped offset some of the impact of subdued natural gas activity. With a drilling and well servicing season that never ends, high commodity prices and superior performance, the US operations are poised to grow dramatically and the Savanna name in the United States is being associated with performance and professionalism. Strong leadership, a solid foundation, and a skilled team of office and field staff will continue to provide Savanna USA’s drilling and well servicing units with vibrant growth across the United States.
